We have also connected pin 26 from the RAM to Vccand got rid of the resistor and capacitor also. We find that there is no output to the 8 segment LED displays when the power is turned on. When power is turned on, The segment displays show both zeros and when the keypad is pressed, there is no change in the displays. However, the red LED connected to the HM2007 chip lights on, although it does not turn off upon pushing any buttons in the keypad. We built the keypad with the keypad circuitboard given to us. It would be helpful if I could have your email address and/or phone number since it will be easier to communicate.
